President George Alm and the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce that current State Board of Equalization Vice Chair and former State Senator George Runner and State Board of Equalization staff have agreed to hold a business seminar for smaller businesses at City Hall in South Lake Tahoe on May 21, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with check in beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The seminar entitled “Free South Lake Tahoe Small Business Tax Seminar” is designed to help small business owners be successful. Topics include: common sales and use tax problems, employee or independent contractor, forms of ownership, and recordkeeping.
Vice-Chair Runner was gracious in responding to the South Tahoe Chamber’s request late last year for this training and seminar. The South Tahoe Chamber appreciates the support of the City of South Lake Tahoe by agreeing to hold the seminar at City Hall and all other organizations that may wish to assist in getting out the word on this small business training opportunity.
“Elected in November 2010 and re-elected in 2014, George Runner represents more than nine million Californians as a member of the State Board of Equalization. He is a leading advocate for California taxpayers….”
California’s South Tahoe Chamber of Commerce Board supports economic growth and prosperity for all businesses large and small and our entire community and wants to work with all organizations that support these goals.
