Two 18-year-old girls turned themselves into the South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) on Friday evening after they became aware of a warrant out for their arrest on charges of kidnapping and battery.
According to SLTPD, Christina Barnhart and Lily Brooks and a third teen are suspected of forcing themselves into an apartment in the 3600 block of Spruce Avenue on Tuesday, February 28 and pulling the occupant out by her hair, and then dragging her outside where they allegedly kicked and punched the victim.
There are three suspects in the case and the SLTPD has a warrant out for the arrest of 19-year-old Justice Bridges on charges of kidnapping and battery.
The suspects and the victim all know each other according to the SLTPD. Detective Barry Rider told South Tahoe Now this case is still under investigation. He said it is still not clear what transpired between the four prior to the crime.
The victim did not seek medical attention.
Once someone is moved from one place to another against their will, charges of kidnapping will be filed Rider said.
