Every family has been touched in some way by cancer. We all know a friend, a neighbor, a relative, or perhaps even ourselves who has had to meet the challenge of this familiar diagnosis. Many of us find it difficult to know what to say. How do we find the supportive words? How can we offer comfort? How do we avoid saying things that are not helpful? You are not alone in wondering "what to say when we don't know what to say."
Dr. Catherine Aisner, PhD will help us find the right words on Tuesday, March 20th. She will be speaking at the El Dorado County Branch Library on Rufus Allen Blvd. South Lake Tahoe. The public is invited to attend. The meeting begins at 6:15 pm and will conclude by 8:00 pm. Refreshments will be served.
Dr. Aisner speaks at the invitation of the Cancer Support for Women of South Lake Tahoe. This local informal group offers support for women with all types of cancer.
