Enjoy the mild weather in South Lake Tahoe on Monday as change is coming soon.
A cold front located over the Pacific will move into the Sierra on Tuesday with wind gusts Tuesday afternoon into evening reaching 45 mph in valley locations and ridge gusts up to 100 mph. These winds will result in choppy lake waters and blowing dust on I-80 and highways 50 and 95.

According to reports from weather.gov and accuweather.com, South Lake Tahoe will receive .35 inches of rain on Tuesday and 4 to 8 inches of snow Tuesday night through late Wednesday night.

Another system arrives in the basin late Saturday and is expected to leave some rain and snow behind before it leaves the area on Thursday.
