Event Date:
April 6, 2017 - 6:00pm
El Dorado County Supervisor Sue Novasel is inviting all county residents to join in the continuing discussion about traffic congestion in Meyers at the next Traffic Congestion update meeting in Meyers on April 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. She will be leading the discussion that was started at the first meeting on February 13 when about 100 people attended.
As visitors depart South Lake Tahoe, many have become aware of side streets via google and phone apps, thus finding another route that they think is getting them around the backup. Novasel has proposed a County Traction Ordinance which would fine those without chains or snowtires if found on the steeper and more treacherous side roads.
Another idea that is being evaluated is moving of the current chain-up area.
The meeting will be held at the California Conservation Corps (CCC) upstairs conference room located at 1949 Apache Ave. in Meyers. Parking will be limited due to snow storage, please carpool. If parking, use the area by the Tahoe Paradise Golf Course to the west of Lira's Market.
