South Lake Tahoe Little League's Opening Day festivities snowed out

A late season snow caused the South Tahoe Little League's opening ceremonies to be delayed one week.
The same schedule will be followed on Saturday, May 2 at the South Tahoe Little League Complex located on Rufus Allen Blvd.
A parade and ribbon cutting ceremony are planned prior to the start of scheduled games. The parade will start on the street next to the South Tahoe Middle School tennis courts at 9:00 a.m. with a planned parade path to follow Lyons Avenue to Rufus Allen, and into the major’s field by way of the snack shack entrance. Parking will be available at South Tahoe Middle School, along Rufus Allen Blvd. and the parking lot at the Recreation Swim Complex located at 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd.
Little League Opening Day Schedule: (Saturday, May 2)
8:30 Parents drop off players in uniform with manager and coaches at STMS tennis courts.
8:45 Parents line the streets to watch the parade
9:00 Parade begins, following Lyons Avenue to Rufus Allen, and walking into the Majors field by way of the Snack Shack entrance
9:15 Teams assemble by division on the Majors field
9:25 Ceremonies begin as soon as teams are assembled
Scheduled games begin immediately following the ceremony.
There will be a barbeque with cheeseburgers, hamburgers and hot dogs for sale starting at 10:15 a.m.
