Lake Wind Advisory in effect for Lake Tahoe through Thursday night

LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev. - The National Weather Service has issued a Lake Wind Advisory for Thursday, April 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. After the advisory expires expect breezy conditions over the next four days.
Southwest winds 10-20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are forecast on the lake. Waves are expected 2-4 feet.
Small boats, kayaks, and paddleboards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve, the advisory says.
The four-day forecast for South Lake Tahoe from the National Weather Service in Reno:
Today - Sunny, with a high near 65. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Tonight - Mostly clear, with a low around 36. South wind 10 to 15 mph.
Friday - Sunny, with a high near 62. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Friday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 34. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.
Saturday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 35. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Sunday - Sunny, with a high near 58.
Sunday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 29. Breezy.
