Cram-a-Cruiser event to gather food for Bread & Broth 4 Kids program

Cram-a-Cruiser, the bi-annual event in South Lake Tahoe to fill the shelves of Bread & Broth 4 Kids (BB4K), will be held on Saturday, May 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Grocery Outlet Parking lot.

Look for the South Lake Tahoe Police cruiser and help fill it up with food for the BB4K weekly food backpack program which feeds 170 local school kids with weekend food throughout the school year. The program also offers weekly food all summer long.

Grocery store gift cards and monetary donations are also helpful, and appreciated.

Please select food items to be donated from the list below. Each child carries their backpacks of food home on Fridays, so single serving sizes are all that can be accepted:

Food Wish List: Canned soup, ravioli, spaghetti, chili, tuna (5 oz), beef jerky, macaroni and cheese (small instant cups), instant oatmeal in packets, granola bars, fruit snacks, Top Ramen, Cup o' Noodles, fruit or applesauce cups, raisins (1 oz boxes), small bags of nuts, tuna and cracker snacks, crackers with cheese or peanut butter.
