South Tahoe's post season ends in loss to Elko

The varsity boy's baseball team from South Tahoe High met up with their 2015 nemesis on the diamond this weekend, loosing to Elko 6-5 and 9-4. The losses ended the Viking's hope for a State Tournament bid.
Elko beat South Tahoe each of their previous three meetings this season.
South Tahoe won their game against Spring Creek on Friday.
Friday, May 8
Game 1 – CHURCHILL COUNTY def. SPRING CREEK, 15-5
Game 2 – ELKO def. SOUTH TAHOE, 6-5
Game 3 – SOUTH TAHOE def. SPRING CREEK, 10-9 (8 inn.)
Game 4 – CHURCHILL COUNTY def. ELKO, 6-5 (6 inn.)
Saturday, May 9
Game 5 – ELKO def. SOUTH TAHOE, 9-4
Game 6– Championship: ELKO def. CHURCHILL COUNTY , 8-2
Game 7 – Churchill County def. Elko, 7-2
Elko and Churchill County will represent Northern Nevada in the state tournament in Las Vegas next week.
