Monthly gaming report: Double-digit drop in Lake Tahoe gaming revenue

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - While most gambling markets in the state of Nevada saw slight decreases in reported revenues, both the south and north shores of Lake Tahoe saw double-digit decreases in the month of April when compared to 2018.
The South Shore casinos had a 12.54 percent drop in their "gaming win" figures and the North Shore dropped 16.13 percent. The South Shore's $13,064,449 in reported win is $1,873,766 less than the same month in 2018. On the North Shore, their $1,299,849 in gaming win is $249,905 less than last year.
As a state, Nevada's win was $936,478,914, a drop of 1.81 percent.
The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.
In Carson City and the Carson Valley, their gaming win was almost the same as in 2018 with a drop of .06 percent. Their reported win was $9,023,948.
