Teen who died near Vikingsholm identified

A 14-year-old from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota has been identified as the victim in Wednesday's fall at Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe.
Chloe Conn fell approximately 50-feet while hiking near the Vikingsholm Trail at about noon on May 31.
No other details about the fall, or who Conn was with in Lake Tahoe have been released by the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office (EDSO).
An off-duty law enforcement officer who was recreating in the area began CPR on the teenager prior to the arrival of on-duty first responders. EDSO, CHP, Cal-Star, CA State Parks, Lake Valley Fire and South Tahoe EMS personnel all responded. Conn sustained major injuries as a result of the fall and extensive life saving efforts were conducted on scene.
She was ultimately transported to Barton Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
