5th annual Tahoe Blue Vodka Bloody Mary contest

Twelve of Tahoe's best bartenders will be competing in the 12th annual Tahoe Blue Vodka Blood Mary competition on Sunday, June 12 at Steamer's Bar from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“This is the only Bloody Mary competition in the Lake Tahoe basin, and we have hand selected the 12 best bartenders from around the lake,” said Mike Peron of FNCTN, one of the event organizers. “From what they’ve shared with us so far about their recipes, our guests are going to be blown away!”

Not only are bragging rights and a trophy up for grabs, there is also a $500 cash purse on the line: $250 for peoples’ choice and $250 for celebrity judge's choice. Last years’ contest included garnishes such as homemade bacon straws, cheeseburger sliders, lobster tails, ghost peppers, and much more!

“If you enjoy drinking a cold Tahoe Blue Vodka beverage in the sunshine with live music and good friends, you’re going to love this!” said Peron. “Tahoe Blue Vodka is one of the most recognizable brands in the basin and we’re proud to be partnered with them again this summer!”

In addition to tasting great cocktails, guests can also enjoy live outdoor music from the talented trio, The Connor Party, as well as chances to win great prizes from in a charity raffle benefiting The League to Save Lake Tahoe. The event is free and open to all ages, with $10 for 10 tastings for attendees 21 and over. Tasting tickets must be purchased prior to the event at this link.
