Tahoe Regional Young Professionals Gets Dirty with Trail Building Day

Tahoe Regional Young Professionals will be getting dirty with this month’s community beautification project to help re-build trails in conjunction with the Tahoe Rim Trail Association, June 23 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

TRYP members will assist with moving miles of trails from pavement to forest, refining the hiking experience and eliminating conflicts with vehicles. When complete this will add 13 miles of new trail to the Tahoe Rim Trail system.

To participate in the trail building, sign up at www.tahoerimtrail.org. Please bring the following items: water (at least 3 liters); lunch and snacks; long sleeved shirt and pants; work or hiking boots; sunscreen and sunglasses and a day pack. The TRTA will provide hard hats, tools, crew leaders and extra gloves. Board members will be sporting their TRYP t-shirts over long sleeves, per dress code requirements.

Following the beautification event, TRYP will mingle at Mott Canyon Tavern and Grill. Mott is open for lunch, dinner and late-dinner offering all the pub-style favorites: pizzas, burritos, salads and sandwiches. Happy Hour is every day from 4 – 6 p.m. and 12 – 4 a.m. with “Beer of the Day” specials. They’re located at 259 Nevada State Route 207 Stateline, NV 89449, off of Kingsbury Grade. Please join us at Mott Canyon at approximately 4:30 p.m.
