The next Cash Mob Lake Tahoe is right around the corner. TahoeChamber started the Cash Mob trend in South Lake Tahoe almost a year ago as a way to infuse money back into our local economy one business at a time.
The locations are chosen in advance, and the business owners are notified so that they have time to prepare for the mob. The mob is usually announced a few days beforehand and has brought in crowds as large as 50 people at a time. More than two of the locations have raised over $500 more than they would have without the mob, and these “spontaneous shopping” events have even been picked up by Fox 40 News in Sacramento.
Mark your calendars now for June 26, at 12pm because you don’t want to miss this Cash Mob.
Kingsbury Hardware is our lucky location and they’ve got a party planned for Mobbers. Kingsbury Hardware was once Scotty’s on Kingsbury Grade, and is now under new ownership. The beginning of summer is a great time to stock up on gardening supplies, plants, and outdoor hardware and what a better way to support a local business owner than joining Cash Mob Lake Tahoe.
The entire store, minus propane, will be offering a 10% discount, along with free brauts, chips, and refreshments. Come on out and see what the mob is all about. The only requirements are that you show up, shop, and smile, knowing that your money is staying on the hill.
