Warm, dry week in the South Lake Tahoe forecast

Temperatures will continue to remain in the 80s in South Lake Tahoe over the next week as a ridge of high pressure strengthens over Northern Nevada and Northern California. Lake Tahoe will be dry as triple digit heat will again be possible across western Nevada where isolated thunderstorms possible during the afternoon hours with increasing chances for storms by early next week.

Today - Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight - Mostly clear, with a low around 47. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 86. Light west wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Friday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 48. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 87. West wind 5 to 15 mph.
