Missoula Children’s Theatre auditions for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

The Tahoe Arts Project is bringing the Missoula Children’s Theatre back to South Lake Tahoe next week and there are rolls for 50-60 local students in grades 1-12. This year they will be rehearsing and performing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Its a whirlwind week with auditions are on Monday, July 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (some cast members will rehearse right after auditions, 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m). Practices are held Tuesday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the shows are on Friday, July 13 at 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

All events will take place at the South Tahoe Middle School Multi Purpose Room.

Auditions are free and if the student is cast, there will be a fee of $50 per child. A limited number of scholarships are available. Call Peggy Blowney at 530 542-3632.

Those auditioning must be 5-year-old and have completed Kindergarten to participate. Roles are for students entering 1st grade up to 12th grade.

There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. The Director asks that you discuss this with your child(ren). Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 30-minutes after the audition, depending on the role. This is a group audition–no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts.

Students should just be ready to come and have a good time!

Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role and be available for all scheduled performances. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition. Cast members scheduled for the full 4 1/2 hours will be asked to bring a sack lunch or snack to be eaten during the 30-minute break between sessions.

Performances at South Tahoe Middle School Multi Purpose Room. will cost Adults $10/Children $5. Tickets will be available at the door.
