Thirty kids from the Lake Tahoe Boys and Girls Club will get a special treat next week during the 28th annual American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe.
Professional golfer and model Paige Spiranac speaks regularly to young people about how to combat bullying in her role as an ambassador for the Cybersmile Foundation. On Tuesday, July 11 at 5:00 p.m., Spiranac will address and interact with the selected kids for about 20 minutes by the practice range, then give them a putting lesson and a contest for the kids on the practice green. There will also be an informal photograph session and autograph signing afterwards.
Spiranac has over 1.4 million followers on social media and will be playing in the American Century Championship for the first time. She has appeared on the cover of Golf Digest magazine in April, won a Cactus Tour event last year and competes on the LGPA’s Symetra Tour.
The Cybersmile Foundation is a multi-award winning anti cyberbullying non-profit organization. Committed to tackling all forms of digital abuse and bullying online. Cybersmile works hard to promote diversity and inclusion, by building a safer, more positive digital community.
