Numbers Fire at 17,318 acres and now 20% contained

The Numbers Fire has been measured at 17,318 acres and firefighters now have a line around 20 percent of the area.
The cause of the fire, which started on July 6 at approximately 7:00 p.m., is under investigation. At one time over 350 residents had been asked to evacuate. Road closures and most evacuation areas in Douglas County have been lifted. The area of Pinenut 2 Road East of Out Our Way is still under evacuation orders.
Three homes have been lost or damaged along with 37 outbuildings. Burned has been grass, brush, pinyon-juniper.
