South Lake Tahoe area casino 'win' down nearly 27 percent for May

South Shore casinos reported a drop in monthly gaming "win" for May, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board on Thursday. Casinos at Stateline report a 26.93 percent decrease compared to May 2011. Casinos in May took in $13,338,804. In the same period 2011 the "win" was $18,254,103.
Statewide nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $885,086,463 for the month of May 2012. This amounts to a 10.05 percent decrease compared to May 2011, when licensees reported a gaming win of $984,006,380. For the fiscal year (July 1, 2011 through May 31, 2012), gaming win has increased 1.26 percent.
