23rd annual Lake Tahoe Summit at Valhalla

Event Date:
August 20, 2019 - 10:00am

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The 23rd annual Lake Tahoe Summit will be held on Tuesday, August 20 at Valhalla in South Lake Tahoe.

Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the main program at 10:00 a.m.

Since the first Lake Tahoe Summit in 1997, the area’s congressional representatives have pledged to keep working together and with local, state, and private sector partners to restore Tahoe’s environment, improve forest health, and confront climate change.

Senator Dianne Feinstein dubbed those helping to keep the region pristine as "Team Tahoe."

Since that firest summit 627 improvement and restoration projects have been completed and 148 were underway as of the last year's Summit with hundreds of millions of dollars spent to date. A great deal has been learned about the threats to the lake and great strides have been made in protecting and restoring this natural treasure.

The lineup of speakers joining Feinstein at this year's summit has not yet been released but registration is underway for the free event.

Due to limited on-site parking, public transportation is encouraged or complimentary shuttle service to get to and from the summit. (Map of Shuttle locations coming soon!) There will also be a bicycle valet service courtesy of the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition.
