South Tahoe Wooden Boat Classic brings ‘Freedom of the Forties’ to the Tahoe Keys Marina this year on July 25 and 26.

This year's theme is ‘Freedom of the Forties’ which honors U.S. military and pays homage to antique and classic boats of the forties. World War II veterans are provided free admission to the event, and U.S. military receive discounts on event admission.

Tour the marina and view the rich mahogany boats reflecting off of the lake. There will be music, wine, food, vendors and more than 85+ of the world's rarest boats. Fascinating and priceless history behind these elegant machines. More than 3,000 people are expected at the event.

The boat show features classic wooden boats from around the country. Early bird tickets are available for $15 through Thursday on their website and at local Raley's stores. Tickets are normally $22.

Hours for Friday are noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The South Tahoe Wooden Boat Classic is presented by The Antique and Classic Boat Society, Inc. (ACBS) which is a 6,000+ member family international organization. Its mission is to bring together people with a common interest in historic, antique and classic boats for the purpose of sharing information, experiences and ideas.

Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty is a proud sponsor of the South Tahoe Wooden Boat Classic, and is featuring the event in an in depth editorial in this summer’s publication of Tahoe Legacy, out on display lakewide as of the beginning of July.

“We made a very conscious choice in our sponsorship of the South Tahoe Wooden Boat Classic this summer. This is the premier classic wooden boat event of South Lake Tahoe, featuring superior philanthropic aspects,” Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty President, Peter Strand said. “This event is truly about giving back to the Lake Tahoe community and the Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS) in order to preserve antique and classic boat heritage for many years to come. There is a great deal of passion tied into this event, and it is an honor to contribute our support.”
