South Tahoe High grad returns for two shows: Live at Lakeview and special encore

Robbie Gallo, the frontman for Vokab Kompany, is coming home to South Lake Tahoe this week for two shows, the first at Live at Lakeview Thursday night. The 1998 graduate of South Tahoe High School is also the MC for the San Diego based hip hop band.

After being rained out for their first scheduled Live at Lakeview performance back in 2013, Vokab Kompany makes a triumphant return,” said Leslie Schultz of On Course Events. “First up, a free all-ages show on Thursday, then on Friday night we’re hosting a double-birthday celebration for two local Rob’s -front man Gallo and Rob Giustina, the owner of On Course Events!"

Black Star Safari open up the Live at Lakeview show on Thursday, July 21 at 4:30 p.m. Vokab Kompany then brings their electronic, funky, hip-hop sounds into the sunset.

Schultz recommends people arrive early due to the anticipated crowd. Happy Hour in the Beer Garden will have $1 off beer + wine until 5:00 p.m. Proceeds from the beer garden will continue to support South Tahoe BMX Association

On Friday, there will be a Live At Lakeview Encore. Robbie Gallo + Robbie Jah’s Birthday Bonanza with a special guest DJ + live performances by Vokab Kompany! This show is at the American Legion. Doors open at 9:00 p.m. and the cost is $7. This is a 21 and-over show.
