Wrap-up stats from American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe

The celebrities are gone, the tarmac at the airport is empty of luxury jets, the golf course is open to the public and the crowds have lessened. American Century Golf Championship 2016 is in the books so it's time to look into some stats from one of the biggest tourism weeks of the year for South Lake Tahoe.

The Repeat Champ: Mark Mulder won his second consecutive ACC title becoming the third back-to-back champion in the tournament’s 27-year history, joining 8-time champion Rick Rhoden who accomplished the feat in 2008- 2009, and five-time winner Dan Quinn.

Mulder's Game of Thrones; Barkley's Game of Groans: On his way to becoming first, Mark Mulder made a total of 14 birdies; on the road to last Charles Barkley had 50 double-bogeys or higher in 54 holes.

Records Set
Gate Crashers: With basketball superstar Steph Curry and entertainment megastar Justin Timberlake headlining an electric field of celebrities, the tournament established an all-time attendance record of 47,109 for the week. Saturday’s celebration attracted a single-day record of 18,172.
Hot Dog! Concession sales were up more than 40% over last year’s record setting figures.
Boat Parade: There were 324 boats on and near the beach along Hole No. 17 during Saturday’s round.
