SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Barton Health's Attic Thrift Store in South Lake Tahoe hasn't reopened yet, but they are having several events to help those in the community facing challenges.
Barton is working with fellow nonprofit organizations to donate clothing and household items to those in need. Weekly invitation-only events are hosted at the Attic throughout August to serve local clientele referred from the Family Resource Center, Live Violence Free, Bread & Broth, Tahoe Youth & Family Services, and Christmas Cheer all Year. At these evening events, pre-packaged clothing, bedding sets, and other items are available for pick-up, with representatives from partnering organizations helping to distribute these donations and ensure physical distance and face covering guidelines are upheld for health and safety.
They are also stopping by at food giveaways with a truck of clothing and other items at Bread & Broth Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and at Christmas Cheer on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
For more information, contact cproctor@bartonhealth.org or call 530.543.5472.
They still plan on reopening The Attic Thrift Store once safety protocols are developed for donations and safe shopping experiences. Once they reopen their store, donations will once again be accepted. There is no date set at this time.
