SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office (EDSO) is looking for the owner of a Jeep who decided to go off-roading in the Trout Creek meadow behind Lake Tahoe Community College.
On Friday afternoon, deputies and a tow company recovered the vehicle from the creek.
"Have you lost a Jeep somewhere in Trout Creek behind Lake Tahoe Community College? Some good citizens called EDSO to help you recover it. It is with us," the department posted on their Facebook page.
They are asking the owner to give them a call at 530.573.3300 to claim the vehicle.
"Deputy Lee would like to speak to you about why you were driving where you should not have been," said EDSO on the Facebook post. There are no roads or trails for vehicles in the area.
