Mostly sunny with some haze from fires in the South Lake Tahoe forecast

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Dry weather will prevail for the upcoming week as temperatures ease down closer to average, with further cooling possible toward early next week. Typical afternoon and evening breezes are expected for the next few days.

There is some haze over Lake Tahoe today from the Mendocino Complex fire, with most of it staying at the north end.

The forecast from the National Weather Service in Reno:

This Afternoon - Widespread haze. Sunny, with a high near 79. Southwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tonight - Clear, with a low around 38. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light southwest in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 81. Light southwest wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night - Clear, with a low around 39. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light southwest in the evening.

Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 81. Southwest wind around 5 mph.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 79.
