SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Turtle Park, a musical group featuring Al Nichol, one of the original Turtles, will play at a benefit for the South Tahoe Cancer League Saturday, August 26 at the American Legion Hall.
The Turtles had several Top 40 hits from 1065 to 1970 including "Happy Together," "It Ain't Me Babe," and "Let Me Be."
Two of the members of Turtle Park, Park Kinnear and Nichol, are cancer survivors and are holding this show to raise funds and get volunteers for the South Tahoe Cancer League.
The doors at the American Legion open at 9:00 p.m. with show from 10:00 p.m to midnight.
A suggested donation of $10 will be collected at the door. Advance reservations may be made by emailing parkkinnear@gmail.com. The show is held courtesy of PRK Productions.
The South Lake Tahoe Cancer League is a non-profit corporation established in 1980 by a group of local people who were sympathetic to those confronting cancer. The people in the League are 100% volunteers. The League cannot offer a cure, but can offer compassion through "Caring, Sharing and Helping".
