Two Tahoe museums recognize Smithsonian Museum Day

Museum Day is an annual event sponsored by Smithsonian Magazine. On Saturday, Sept. 24, two Lake Tahoe area museums will join hundreds more across the country, opening their doors and providing free admission. The Gatekeeper's Museum and Watson Cabin, both in Tahoe City, will participate in the Smithsonian event. The Gatekeeper's Museum is located at 130 West Lake Blvd. The Watson Cabin Museum is located at 560 North Lake Tahoe Boulevard.
