Skier and snowboarder renegade website unofficialnetwork.com, an insider favorite among snow enthusiasts, ski pass holders and resort visitors (and disliked by ski corporations) reports that its sources tell them that a merger of Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley USA is "done and Alpine Meadows employees already know (about it.)
"We don’t have much on the deal, but our sources have confirmed that Squaw Valley USA/KSL is in fact now the proud owner of neighboring Alpine Meadows. We also hear Squaw is planned to make a public announcement within a day," according to the website.
This is unconfirmed, of course, and if wrong unofficialnetworks.com will have some 'splainin to do.
Bookmark-worthy, UnofficialNetworks.com covers the ski and snowboard industry with an unrelenting twist towards reality and locality, according to its philosophical outline. "We tell the truth from a local’s point of view. We inform our users what is actually going on in their locale, not simply what’s officially reported. We echo and amplify what is being said on the chairlifts and barstools and deliver that information to our viewers via organic articles, photos, & videos."
