The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce has announced the hiring of Katie Meyers as their new membership services director.
Meyers brings wit her over a decade of experience working at Southern California non-profit and educational institutions, with a diverse background in marketing and communications strategy, internal and external communications, community relations, and project management.
Meyers will start at the Tahoe Chamber on October 16.
Most recently, Katie held the position of Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications at Marshall B. Ketchum University. Her focus there was on brand management, marketing strategies, and community outreach for Ketchum Health, operating two clinical teaching facilities located in Los Angeles and Orange County, as well as multiple community clinic partnerships.
Previously, Katie held the positions of Assistant Director of Development for Girls, Inc., of Orange County, focusing on individual philanthropic support and organizational marketing and communications, and Director of Marketing and Communications for the Associated Students, Inc., a membership association with over 40,000 enrolled students at California State University, Fullerton.
Katie earned her BS in Marketing Management from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, with an emphasis in advertising. Her arrival at Tahoe Chamber comes as we begin the transition of our membership investment program away from one based on a number of employees to a more value-based menu of options that can be customized to the unique needs of each of our members.
As of October 16, Katie can be reached at 775-588-1728, extension 305 or katie@tahoechamber.org.
