The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a 16 year-old runaway juvenile, Mia Swenson. Mia was last seen on Friday, October 3, 2014.
Her family says that Mia has been suffering recently from depression, and they are concerned for her well-being. Mia lives in the Carson Valley, however she has ties to South Lake Tahoe and may also have possibly traveled to the Sacramento or Reno areas.
Mia is described as: approx. 5ft-5in tall, 100 lbs, shoulder length bleached blonde hair and hazel eyes. Mia was last been seen wearing black yoga pants, a black sweatshirt, and black feather earrings. She was carrying a red backpack. Mia has no vehicle, and it is unknown if she is on foot or obtained transportation from an acquaintance.
