South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue Open House

During Fire Prevention Week each year, South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue holds their Open House to highlight fire safety in the community as well as opening their doors for tours and activities.
Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., both SLTFR fire stations will be open to the public.
Station #1 is located at 1252 Ski Run Boulevard. Learn how to use a fire extinguisher and participate in CPR training. Find life safety info, tours, static displays of fire equipment as giveaways.
Station #3 is located at 2101 Lake Tahoe Boulevard. Boy Scout Troop #592 will be on hand to hep greet visitors.Find life safety info, tours, static displays of fire equipment as giveaways.
Following the Open House there will be a 2:30 p.m. Wetdown ceremony at Station #3 to officially bring the new fire engine into service.
South Lake Tahoe third graders were all given blank coloring pages to decorate and turn in for a chance to ride in the Captain's seat at the Wetdown.
