A South Lake Tahoe man has been arrested on charges he allegedly burglarized the Lake Tahoe Pizza Company on October 9, 2017.
At 10:00 a.m., officers from the South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) responded to an alarm at the popular restaurant located at 1168 Emerald Bay Road. Upon arrival they learned someone had gained entry through a window and left through a door, and that cash was missing.
Video surveillance showed them a suspect.
At 10:30 a.m., SLTPD responded to the call of suspicious persons in the parking lot of McDonald's near the intersection of Lake Tahoe and Ski Run Boulevards. The caller said two men were pacing around the parking lot, acting strange. When police arrived they sound the two men. Upon investigation, they saw that one of those men matched the description of the suspect in the video from the earlier burglary.
Jared Michael Bressler, 33, also allegedly had items on his person that matched the burglary. He was arrested on a felony charge of burglary and misdemeanor charge of possessing unlawful paraphernalia. Bressler is currently in the El Dorado County jail with bail set at $222,000.
His next court appearance is at 8:30 a.m. Monday, October 16.
