All 437 rooms of the South Shore's MontBleu Resort are going to get a makeover along with the casino floor and convention center.
Starting in the middle of October, over $24M will be spent on new carpet, lighting and new decor for the casino floor and convention center. The rooms will get a new "Scandinavian fantasy" look with clean, contemporary aesthetics that will combine beauty, functionality and efficiency. The rooms will feature all new furniture, headboards, nightstands, HD flat screen TVs, and fully remodeled bathrooms with new shower fixtures, counter tops, and vanities. Room remodels will be conducted one floor at a time with buffer floors above and below to assure comfort and quiet during the transformation and are expected to be completed by May.
Additional renovation plans next spring will also include a new look to the MontBleu Theater Showroom and box office, Zone Bar, sports book, lighting, and exterior building upgrades. All operations will be in place during the modernization at MontBleu with completion scheduled for late 2015.
“It’s all about our guests and providing a singular Lake Tahoe experience,” said Stephen Ditchkus, general manager. “We’ll be headquarters for combining luxurious hotel amenities with Tahoe’s world famous outdoor recreation and attractions.”
