City asks businesses to Light up South Lake Tahoe for the holidays

Join us as we “Light up South Lake Tahoe” on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend on Nov. 24 beginning at 6 p.m. Imagine every business on Highway 50 lit up end to end from the big tree at the “Y” to Stateline! The City wants to partner with businesses located along Highway 50 from Stateline to the “Y” and provide a “buy one, get one free” on holiday lights.

On Saturday, November 24th, the South Lake Tahoe Fire Department will have its fire truck decorated with white holiday lights and will begin its procession at 6pm. As the fire truck passes your business, you will turn on your lights and participate in “Lighting up South Lake Tahoe.”

The festivities will conclude at the “Y” with the annual tree lighting, along with hot cocoa and cookies. Our goal is to have all businesses along Highway 50 lit up for the Holiday Season, and what a better way to do it than all on the same day….at the same time!
