Submitted by Editor on Tue, 10/18/2011 - 4:24pm
The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District will conduct a prescribed burn during the week of October 19 – October 26, depending on proper weather conditions and fuel moisture content. The projected areas are in the Second Creek drainage and Mill Creek sub-division.
Smoke resulting from the prescribed burns will affect the surrounding area for approximately 24-36 hours. People that are smoke sensitive are advised to please stay inside and close their windows and doors as much as possible until the smoke dissipates. For further information, please call the Fire District at 775/831-0351, ext. 0 to speak with someone in person.
