Nevada Gaming Control Board: South Shore casino revenue drops in September

Gaming revenue for the State of Nevada during the month of September 2018 showed a slight increase over the previous year, posting a gain of 1.26 percent with a "win" of $991,222,034 for casinos in the state, according to figures released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board today.
The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.
On the South Shore, the $17,747,750 in gaming revenue earned by the casinos was down by 15.83 percent from 2017 even though last month the South Shore casino income was up 25 percent. The Carson City and Carson Valley had a "win" of $10,191,694 in September, up 10.52 percent.
South Shore casinos have had a strong fiscal year to date, up 5.62 percent during the period of July through September.
Over on the North Shore, their reported $2,549,527 in gaming revenue "win" for September was down 12.68 percent.
While the South Shore showed the biggest percentage of loss in the state, the biggest gain was posted by the Boulder Strip casinos with a "win" of $67,540,870, up 27.45 percent from September 2017.
