Two die in apparent neighbor dispute in Kings Beach

11/6/17 5:15 p.m. UPDATE - The Placer County Sheriff's Office has determined that this homicide was a murder-suicide. Their preliminary investigation has determined that 64-year-old Scott A. Kotter, manager of the Northwood Pines Motel in Kings Beach, shot and killed Isabelle C. Gallo, 34, a female tenant, before turning the gun on himself.

On Saturday, November 4 at around 4:00 p.m., deputies responded to a report of shots fired at the Northwood Pines Motel in the 8400 block of Trout Avenue. Upon arrival they located a man and a woman who had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
This homicide case is still under investigation and names of the deceased have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
"No suspects are are outstanding," said the sheriff's office on social media.
No other information is available at this time.
