Of those, 63 are in El Dorado Hills, 52 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 60 in Greater Placerville, 15 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 16 in Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 17 in North County, 3 in South County, 74 in Lake Tahoe region. SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - With five different counties in two different states surrounding Lake Tahoe, there are different procedures concerning COVID-19 vaccines depending on which area one resides. As more doses of the vaccine become available, each county is in charge of its own vaccination rollout. Most in California will be vaccinated at community vaccination sites, doctor’s offices, clinics or pharmacies, depending on their county's plans.

On the Nevada side of the lake the state has developed "lanes" instead of the California side "tiers." All information is listed below.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County health officers announced 81 residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since yesterday. Of those, 11 are in El Dorado Hills, 16 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 23 in Greater Placerville, 3 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 6 in Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 4 in North County, 0 in South County, 16 in Lake Tahoe region. Two of these cases are awaiting address confirmation, leaving the pending address confirmation count at 49.

El Dorado County, Placer County and Town of Truckee representatives have sent a letter to Airbnb, asking for assistance stopping short-term rentals (STR) during the current Stay at Home Order. They told the vacation rental booking company that their help is needed to stop the spread of COVID-19 and asked them to not allow rentals in Truckee and the California side of Lake Tahoe during the order which is through at least January 1.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Due to an internal issue at El Dorado County there will be no updates on figures Friday. They are reporting 90 new cases but no other information is available. Figures provided on Monday will include Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

We can tell you there are currently 25 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the county with 9 of them in the ICU at Barton and Marshall. According to the State's website, 11 of the non-ICU patients and 3 of the ICU patients are in Barton, with 14/6 at Marshall. There are currently no suspected cases at Barton.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The snow is still falling this morning so totals are not yet available, but as ski resorts opened they were reporting 3"-4" with more coming. Temperatures were too high for snow at midnight, but they have since dropped allowing snow to start falling.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Lake Tahoe area ski resorts are reporting 10"-17" of snow in the last 24 hours. Even though the snow has stopped, roads are still snow covered and plowing operations are under way.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - With a minimum three-week long Stay-at-Home order going into effect on December 10 at 11:59 p.m. there are new rules that affect South Lake Tahoe visitors and residents.

The Sacramento Region, of which South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County are part of, has dropped below 15 percent availability in the ICUs across the region, prompting the new order. More than thirty million people in California now fall under the order after a deadly surge of the coronavirus has crossed the state.

This includes the approximate 200 positive cases that needed to be assigned to a region. Of those, 100 are in El Dorado Hills, 75 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 78 in Greater Placerville, 14 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 21 in Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 29 in North County, 2 in South County, 93 in Lake Tahoe region.
