If you've driven past South Tahoe High School in the last month you've most likely noticed a new bike trail heading from Lake Tahoe Blvd and Viking Way, through the forest to Sawmill Pond.
This new segment of bike trail, which is part of the Lake Tahoe Blvd Enhancement Project, will help to connect Meyers to the City of South Lake Tahoe.
This Project is built in tandem with the Sawmill 1 and Sawmill 2 Bike Path Projects which El Dorado County spearheaded and the built-out bike path network will no doubt become an iconic trail system in the south shore of Lake Tahoe and will serve numerous residents and visitors to the Lake Tahoe Basin.
A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the completion of the latest phase will be held on Wednesday, November 12 at 11 a.m. at Sawmill Pond.
Join El Dorado County Supervisor Norma Santiago, Forest Supervisor Nancy Gibson and Gavin Feiger of the Community Mobility Group as they dedicate South Lake Tahoe’s newest section of bike path
