Choices for Children holding Winter of Warmth clothing and accessory drive
Submitted by paula on Tue, 12/03/2019 - 8:30pm
Choices for Children will be able to give away winter clothing and accessories to the youngest and most vulnerable members of the community due to a grant they received from the El Dorado Community Foundation (EDCF) for their Winter of Warmth (W.O.W.) initiative.
Community agencies including child care providers, social workers, and Head Start teachers can soon refer families of children ages 0-5 (not yet in TK or Kindergarten) to get the boots, gloves, socks and snow clothes that they need.
To help Choices for Children fill all the needs of the community they are holding a winter clothing drive to supplement what they received from EDCF. They are looking for donations of new or gently used warm coats, boots, socks, gloves and snow clothes that will fit children ages 0-5.
Choices for Children will gratefully accept donations Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
They are located at 1029 Takela Drive, Suite 1, South Lake Tahoe. For more information, contact them at 530-541-5848.
