Farwell 2020! We will always remember this year, but for most of us, we are also ready to kiss it goodbye with a swift kick to the curb. Our community, like all communities has been hard hit with lost income, closed businesses, stay at home orders, COVID and virtually learning at home. We have missed socializing, travelling, entertaining and being entertained, enjoying our extended family and cannot even see a friend’s smile behind their mask. We missed so much of 2020 and it has hurt, to be honest.

She thought of what to do? I better go, she decided. As she approached their neighborhood in Bijou, she encountered not only the one boy she had promised to meet, but many other boys as well. Kudos: Drug Store Project appreciates help from the community

Tahoe is a glorious place. Most of us come here to live in its beauty, but it’s the “community” that keeps so many of us here. It’s that sense of doing good for one another that keeps many of us hopeful about the future. I’m happily involved in different aspects of our community and that part of my life is why I feel so grateful and blessed. Tuesday’s Drug Store Project for our sixth-grade youth was a testament to the compassion and dedication of our agencies, businesses, service clubs, and community members for the good of its people.

Gift idea for friends or family: Donating to Camp Fire victims in their name

If you're like most this holiday season, you've been busy trying to find the perfect gift for loved ones on your list. You've hit the malls, shopped online, browsed the catalogs and spent your free time shopping.

For some it's easy to figure out what to buy them, but for those who already have everything, it's not so easy.

Instead of searching for what to give, especially for the adults in our life, how about doing something that will help those who lost everything and now need everything?

Our community has less than one week before November 6th, election day, arrives. There are many important issues on the ballot. Event Date:
September 20, 2018 - 7:00pm

It only takes a one degree change in temperature to convert water to steam, water to ice or water to snow. This is such a tiny change and yet most of us ignore making these types of minor changes in our lives, or the life of our community, as we think that the effect won’t be significant enough. That is because we live in an instant gratification society and want results now, when in fact a number of small changes done day in day out will make a massive difference to our lives and the communities of Lake Tahoe.

A one degree change in the earth's average temperature can cause a sheet of ice of in Greenland to melt and raise the ocean level enough to put low lying land in Florida under water.

It takes only a one degree change in temperature to convert water to steam, water to ice, or water to snow.

It can take a shift of one degree to change your life.

One degree is so small, yet so powerful.
