Douglas County Search and Rescue locates missing skier

Update: A South Lake Tahoe man, 28 year old Nicholas Bridges, ducked under the out of bound ropes and skied out of bounds at Heavenly Ski Resort on December 19.
At 4:33 p.m., the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a call that Bridges' friend couldn't find him after trying to find for over two hours.
Members of the Douglas County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team began a coordinated search of the potential area. At approximately 8:10 p.m., Bridges was able to call dispatch and alert them as to his wearabouts.
Bridges was issued a citation for skiing out of bounds.
Douglas County Code 9.08.030 Skier Duties: 11. A skier, having used a ski lift or surface lift of a ski area, must not ski under a manmade barrier that is designed to prohibit a skier from entering a closed portion of the ski area or from leaving any part of the ski area. For the purpose of this section, a barrier may be designated by roping off an area. Any skier that violates this subsection is guilty of a misdemeanor. The bail for this violation is $640.00.

A man got lost after going out-of-bounds on the slopes of Heavenly Saturday, bringing out the Douglas County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team. There are no details released yet as the sheriff's deputies are now meeting with the search and rescue team and the man who was found according to Douglas County dispatch.
