Early morning earthquakes near Carson City

Did you feel them? There were two earthquakes in the southeast end of Carson City Thursday morning.
At 5:24 a.m. on December 20 a 3.6 earthquake hit in the area four miles to the SSE of downtown, almost 10 miles northeast of Genoa. Then, at 5:30 a.m., another one measuring 3.1 occurred in the same area.
As shown in the picture this same area has had a lot of seismic activity in the last two weeks. Eastern California and Northern Nevada experience thousands of earthquakes annually so Thursday's earthquakes aren't unusual, just larger than normal.
