SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - During their closed session meeting today, the South Lake Tahoe City Council selected a preferred candidate to take on the duties of an interim city manager.
When the meeting ended at 1:20 p.m., Council announced no reportable action but they did want to update the community on the status of their conversation. South Lake Tahoe Mayor Jason Collin said they directed staff to begin negotiations with the candidate.
The name of that candidate is not being released at this time.
They hope to bring back a contract to Council to their first meeting of 2020 on January 14. The current City Manager, Frank Rush, gave his resignation in November and his last day in South Lake Tahoe will be January 24, 2020. He is headed to take the job of city manager in Big Bear Lake.
