Live at Lakeview Summer Concert Series at South Lake Tahoe kicks off the Labor Day weekend early on Thursday with some zesty Latin flavor featuring two local Latino bands. Los Barranqueños Del Norte will start off the evening with some Mariachi music followed by the headliner, Tahoe Musical, which will play a cross-pollination of traditional Cumbian (Columbian Salsa) and Del norte styles. If your salsa moves lack in the heat department, organizers will have you covered.

Lake Tahoe East Shore Cleanup on Saturday

Volunteers will be helping to clean-up these secluded and beautiful Lake Tahoe beaches. Keeping Tahoe clean and blue is a collaborative effort where local residents and visitors alike can make a difference.

Ensuring their part to keep the shores of South Lake Tahoe clean and tidy, organizers of Live at Lakeview will hold its next beach cleanup at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 30, at Lakeview Commons. Organizers will provide trash bags and gloves. They ask for volunteers and their friends to head to the beach and show their support for the enormously popular concert series by cleaning up the beach and surrounding area.

After-fireworks party cleanup at El Dorado and Regan beaches

Beginning at 6 a.m. volunteers will pick up what everyone else left behind after the fireworks show. The cleanup begins on El Dorado Beach and then moves along to Regan Beach. According to organizer Kenny Curtzwiler, the cleanup usually yields about 40 yards of trash. El Dorado Beach is located on Highway 50 at Lakeview Avenue. The community is invited. Bring gloves.

Drop off furniture, tires and appliances to the South Tahoe Refuse Transfer Station for a discounted price of $5 per truckload. The event is also open to Nevada residents, who can dump their junk for $10 a truckload.
Genoa Trail System Grand Opening

This free event is open to the public and will take place at the Eagle Ridge Trailhead, located next to the green water tank, approximately 1.8 miles north of Genoa off of Jacks Valley Road on Eagle Ridge Road.
