"Coffee With a Cop" celebrated all week in South Lake Tahoe; First Responder Friday too
Submitted by paula on Mon, 09/30/2019 - 8:55pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - National Coffee With a Cop day may be on October 2, but the Starbucks at the "Y" in South Lake Tahoe is going to celebrate the day all week long....and it won't be just for cops.
From open to close, the Starbucks located at 1064 Emerald Bay Road will offer free coffee and pastries to law enforcement and fire fighting personnel, with free coffee for those stopping by to chat. On Monday, some of the officers even stepped behind the counter to make some coffees for patrons.
Washoe County Sheriff's Office hosts National Coffee with a Cop Day in Incline Village
Submitted by paula on Wed, 09/25/2019 - 2:46pmThe Washoe County Sheriff’s Office added a third location for this year’s Coffee with a Cop Day in order to provide the public a greater opportunity for a one-on-one conversation with Sheriff’s Office executive staff and supervisors.
The new location is I.V. Coffee Lab, 907 Tahoe Boulevard in Incline Village. Chief Deputy Greg Herrera and Patrol Captain Don Gil will be available to answer questions, address concerns, or just casual conversation from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

US Forest Service law enforcement officer Adam Nadeau will be at Freel Perk in Meyers on Wednesday, October 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. as part of the national "Coffee with a Cop" day.
The public is invited to join him. The mission of Coffee with a Cop day is to break down barriers between the public and law enforcement. Residents are welcome to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know officers.
Freel Perk is located at 3141 Highway 50 in Meyers.

The third Coffee With a Cop in the area this summer will be held on Tuesday, July 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Starbucks at the South Y Center in South Lake Tahoe.
The community is invited to meet with members of the California Highway Patrol South Lake Tahoe office, South Lake Tahoe Police Department, El Dorado County Sheriff. Stop by and discuss issues or just meet law enforcement in an informal, neutral location.

The South Lake Tahoe Police Department has been meeting with community members and visitors one day a week for the past month during "Coffee With a Cop."
Lieutenants, Sergeants and the Chief have been at the Stateline area Starbucks each Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., giving everyone a chance to meet the department's administrative staff and help shape policing efforts in South Lake Tahoe.
There have been a few people who have shown up each week because they knew the SLTPD would be there, others just stop by when they see them sitting at the table.
