This sing-along program tells the story of the man who wrote, “This Land is Your Land,” one of the most widespread English language folksongs. Join the Friends of the Library for Music on the Lawn with Adam Miller. Mr. Miller has performed live in over 2,000 American libraries in 48 states. One of the premier autoharpists in the world, he has distinguished himself as a master storyteller, and as one of the great interpreters of American folksongs and folktales.

Don't miss the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Valhalla Boathouse

If you haven't been out to enjoy music and performances at the Valhalla Boathouse Theater yet, this month is the time to do so with a full lineup for all ages.

After watching the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on opening weekend, we highly recommend this fun musical though not appropriate for those under 13). It is a Tony Award-winning musical comedy and even though far from Broadway, the local Lake Tahoe cast made it very entertaining.

New Valhalla Tahoe "Evening on the Lawn" concerts this summer

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Valhalla Art, Music and Theatre festival schedule this summer is a full one and they've added a new event this summer, Evening Music on the Lawn.

The grand lawn at Valhalla has been a popular spot for Sunday afternoon concerts and now there will be two evening lawn concerts in 2017. Bring your lawn chairs and a picnic supper and enjoy some music, there will be a beer and wine garden too.

Enjoy a Tahoe afternoon on the lawn at the historic Valhalla on Sunday, August 2 when the Sacramento band, Richie Lawrence and the Yolos perform.

Rain or shine, the concert will go on. If it rains, all will be moved indoors to the Boathouse Theater. This will be the last in Valhalla's FREE Concert on the Lawn series which is part of the Valhalla Art, Music & Theatre Festival.

The band is a mix of jazz, French folk and country, with original music.

Bring your beach chairs and lunch and enjoy music on the lawn.

Bagpiper to Play at South Lake Tahoe Library
