South Tahoe CrossFit co-owner Tim Anderson declared 'fittest' among Masters at Reebok CrossFit Games

Tim Anderson, co-owner of South Tahoe CrossFit, won the Masters Division in the Reebok CrossFit Games in southern California on Sunday. This makes him "fittest" man in his age group of 55-60.
The games were at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., where thousands of participants were whittled down to around a 100 of the fittest men and women in the world.

Popular South Tahoe High School program gets cut

An area school is boasting some of the highest graduation rates in California. Newly finalized counts show about 92.5 percent of South Tahoe High School's seniors are earning diplomas. Golden Bear Events presents the inaugural 4th of July Parade in South Lake Tahoe on Wednesday, July 4, from 10 a.m. to noon down Highway 50.

Competition Seeks Area's Elite CrossFit Athletes

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE- Calif. One hundred CrossFit Athletes in Northern California and Nevada will gather at South Tahoe CrossFit this Saturday, June 16, for a one-day challenge to find the area's fittest man and woman.

In its third year, the Fittest of the Sierras Competition has gained recognition as being the premier CrossFit event in the area. In 2010 the competition hosted athletes from the Reno-Tahoe vicinity, but has now expanded to include competitors from Bishop, Sacramento Central Valley and the Bay Area.

Free Student Sports Physicals

Tahoe Center for Orthopedics, Barton Health and Lake Tahoe Unified School District have joined together to offer FREE student sports physicals to South Tahoe and Whittell High School and Pop Warner athletes playing fall, winter and spring sports.
