With another building and construction season approaching, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) is launching a new Parcel Tracker available online to the public. Part of the Lake Tahoe Info portal, the Parcel Tracker provides a wide range of information for property owners and people considering buying or investing in property at Lake Tahoe.

Its an annual tradition at Cold Water Brewery, creating a special brew made by the female staff on International Women's Day.

The business, created and owned by long time South Lake Tahoe local Debbie Brown, had a day long event for the female staff, starting out with breakfast and ending hours later with the brew "Hey Girl Hey Double IPA" fermenting.

As members of the Pink Boot Society, the Cold Water Brewery used a hop blend put together by the group which was created to assist, inspire and encourage women beer industry professionals to advance their careers through education.

Entrepreneurs continue to be a part of the renaissance in South Lake Tahoe, bringing new businesses and experiences throughout the town.

Three long-time locals have become part of that vibe and opened Emanate Gallery in The Crossing at Tahoe Valley at the Y and will be celebrating with a grand opening weekend February 24-25 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Benjamin Sullivan, a 2010 South Tahoe High graduate, joined Angela and Ron Cabrera in opening the new gallery, complete with its own full service custom frame shop and unique delivery services.

A passionate, supportive and large crowd backing South Tahoe StandUp Paddle (STSUP) showed up at Tuesday's South Lake Tahoe City Council meeting as the Lakeview Commons concessionaires were decided.

By an unanimous vote, the five members of Council voted to approve STSUP for the non-motorized concession going against what the input of staff appointed to review the proposals. Sierra-at-Tahoe was approved for the food and beverage concession by a vote of four-to-one.

Edgewood Companies has announced that Corinna Osborne will be Edgewood Tahoe’s new general manager.

The Massachusetts native has more than 15 years of experience in the local hospitality industry. Prior to joining Edgewood Tahoe, Osborne has worked at MontBleu, served as general manager of Horizon Resort and was part of the rebranding and opening for the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe where she was the director of non-gaming operations.

There is a new chef at the helm of Edgewood Tahoe's three restaurants after the retirement of Frank Stagnaro, the resort’s executive chef for over 25 years.

Executive Chef Charles Wilson was amazed at the view from the resort that sits on the shore of Lake Tahoe.

“One of the reasons I’m here is this property,” Wilson said. “Walking into the Great Room and looking out the windows was the moment. The culinary team’s job is to match the ambiance of the resort, and this setting is truly spectacular.”

Tahoe Chamber is holding their annual HR Employment Law Workshop on Wednesday, January 17 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Chamber Conference Room.

This workshop will provide attendees with the latest human resources information such as the new minimum wage requirements in California, cannabis in the workplace, and other employment laws in store for 2018. Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel won top honors at the California Hotel & Lodging Association “Stars of the Industry” awards for their "My Tahoe" guest relations program.

During their first summer of sales, 39 of the 46 available contracts to buy a luxury condominium home at the Tahoe Beach Club sold for a total of $85 million.

This development at the end of Kahle Drive in Stateline, Nevada is the first full ownership lakefront in 30 years at Lake Tahoe. They are being built on land that was once a trailer park.

Homebuyers have been mostly from the Bay Area, Southern California, Texas and New York areas.

The Tahoe Chamber is offering a workshop for employers concerning their policies and procedures on handling cannabis in the workplace on Wednesday, September 20 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in their conference room.

Recent changes to state laws in California and Nevada legalizing the recreational use of cannabis have led to confusion among employers. One key question is whether employers are required to accommodate an employee's use or possession of cannabis at the workplace.
